What is Vibe Coding?
Vibe Coding is a common name for creating software with help from an AI coding assistant, often by describing the behavior you want in ordinary language. The assistant can suggest code, but a useful application still depends on a clear brief, understandable changes and deliberate testing.
The THSM Tech outline covers planning a small app, working with an AI coding assistant, reading and testing code, and building a practical project. The emphasis is on understanding what a proposed change does. Accepting generated code without checking it can leave broken behavior, confusing interfaces or inappropriate handling of information.
Suitability and preparation
This subject may suit students who enjoy solving small problems and trying an idea repeatedly until it works. Before choosing it, consider whether you are comfortable explaining a desired result and comparing that result with what appears on screen. Ask the academy to confirm any prior coding knowledge, device requirements and software needed for the cohort.
AI tools can produce confident explanations that still need verification. Review the AI Basic Course if you want to understand prompts and checking AI answers first. Confirm account access and possible tool charges before using a coding service.
Example practice project: a class checklist
One example is a small checklist for preparing for class. Start with three items, a way to mark each item, and a clear indication of what remains. Test what happens when the list is empty, an item is clicked twice, or the page is opened on a smaller screen.
Use fictional information and keep the first version small enough to explain. Illustrative example; actual activities are confirmed for your cohort. The project planning guide can help you write a brief and decide how to test it.

Practice that counts
Course activities may include guided lessons, practical assignments, live sessions and assessments. Your portal shows the exact requirements for your enrolled course. Certificates follow successful completion of the required activities, or administrator confirmation of classes already completed with the academy.
Age and course suitability
We welcome students from age 8. Course placement depends on readiness. Students under 18 need a parent-managed account; third-party tools may have additional age requirements. Marketing and advertising topics use supervised practice.
